Welcome to the 29th episode of The One Percent Show with Vishal Khandelwal. This show is an open-ended exploration into the minds of the wisest people around to help us learn to think, invest, and live each day a little, even if as little as one percent, better.
I talk to Rohit Chauhan, founder of RC Capital Management, and one of the first individuals in India to start a blog dedicated to serious investing way back in 2004.
Rohit in an Engineer and MBA with 20+ years of experience in different functions at large corporations in India and abroad. He was introduced to the investment world in the mid-90s when he started managing his family’s finances. Over the years, he got interested in the learnings from some of the legendary investors like Benjamin Graham, and Philip Fisher. Their teachings have formed the bedrock of his investment philosophy. Over the years, Rohit has also learnt to apply behavioural aspects of investing to his process.
Rohit has been sharing his thoughts on value investing through his blog valueinvestorindia.com for the last 15+ years, and I must confess here that he was one of the key inspirations for me to start my own journey in blogging and sharing my thoughts with the world at large.
In this episode, Rohit talks about his best investing decision made 10 years back, reasons why compounding is so hard to practice, power of simplicity in life and investing, life’s true riches that go beyond money, journaling, power of meditation, and much more.
Rohit’s video is hidden on his request. But that should not take away anything from the wonderful insights he shares in this episode.
